Friday the 21st October at the Star Casino in Sydney was the setting for the 2017 Australian Mortgage Awards. The auditorium was packed with 600 odd mortgage and finance professionals from around the Nation gathered to share the success of a selected few. 27 Awards were presented on the night, one of which went to your local mortgage broking business – Coffs Coast Finance.
The award was for New Brokerage of the year 2017 and the team based here in Woolgoolga could not have been prouder to be in the running let alone bring the prestigious National Award home with us.
When reflecting on the past 2 years since we officially opened in Jan 2016 we look at the elements that have led to where we are today. The word is Balance. We have stayed true to ourselves by nature and sought out a business that would provide balance in our lives.
Having escaped the 9 to 5 grind in the corporate world we were determined not to fall back into that trap, instead we now work 24/7 (hahaha), but on our own terms which makes all the difference. We have set up a vibrant, energetic and fun work environment, surrounded ourselves with friends to work with and come to work daily not for a moment thinking that we are going to work. The balance we strive for is a combination of work, health, family and success – whatever success means to you as we all see it differently.
Some may have considered Woolgoolga a little far out from the hustle and bustle of Coffs Harbour. The opportunity for increased foot traffic and to be competitive with the competition in and around Coffs Harbour would lead most to open centrally in Coffs, however it was this exact reason we placed ourselves in Woolgoolga aka Woopi. Woopi town has such a lovely community feel, laid back vibe and the location is second to none with beautiful beaches, excellent cafes and great people both in business and within the community.
Often we are seen walking down the street either to the beach or the gym and people will laugh and comment “Do you guys ever work”, the answer is – Balance – and the proof is in this award and recognition on a National level. We take advantage of our location, find peace and fun within our own terms and work tirelessly for our clients to help them achieve their goals, often after hours in the early mornings for Taj or the late evenings for Dan and everywhere in between for the entire team.
